Mark is founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Economic Club of Canada, Canada’s leading public affairs and speakers’ forum for business, national and international issues.

Before he founded Economic Club of Canada, Mark served as the Director of Corporate Programs with the Canadian Institute of International Affairs, where he led delegations of influential Canadian Businessmen to various countries to meet with world leaders and decision makers. Prior to that, he worked as a trade representative for the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Technology, in Boston Massachusetts, USA.

He is an accomplished author, publishing a series of books on the topic of Cross Border Shopping which earned him acclaim within the government, industry and media.

In May 2011, Mark was elected as the Federal MP (Member of Parliament) for York Centre.
