Inga Skaya was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2007 on March 4, 2007. Born Ingeborg Berdichevsky on January 7, 1986 in Moscow, Russia (then Soviet Union), she moved to Canada with her family at a young age.

Before competing in Miss Universe Canada 2007, Skaya participated in Miss Matryoshka 2006, a beauty pageant for women of Eastern European decent, part of Russian festival Matryoshka organized annually at the end of August in Toronto at park Canada's Wonderland, where she placed 3rd.

Skaya represented Canada in the Miss Universe 2007 pageant, but didn't make into the top 15.
